Junior Student Statement.

I started my theater journey in third grade, thinking that it was just going to be a fun hobby I did. But it was way more. I joined it in middle school, and I was a part of many fabulous plays, but the one thing that always kept me down was the inconsistency of the directors. I became a freshman in high school, and that’s when Cobb joined the picture. He was a new director, and it was his first year, like mine. At first, I just thought he was some nerdy Marvel-loving guy. But for the past three years, I realize that he’s much more. He’s kind, he’s generous, and most of all, he cares about each and every one of us in this company.

The meaning of theater is to give people a voice, and that got ripped out of our hands. Losing not one, but two of our directors is the most inconsiderate thing you could ever do to a company/family. I’m so sad that I can’t spend my senior year with Cobb and Thomas, two of the most crucial people in my life right now, but I know that they’re going to be at better places and at better schools, and I wish the best for both of them. Even though right now seems like it’s never going to end, we will push through, and we will come back even stronger than before.
