Step one

Acquiring an Armband.

Beginning next week (04/27-05/1), Fund The Arts plans to hand out free, solid blue armbands to be worn around the biceps to show solidarity with the cause and make administration aware of our organization.

Step two

Staying Civil.

The only way our fight can happen is if the learning environment at Foster remains undisturbed. Under no circumstances should any student try to interfere with regular school activities to support the cause; the more restrained and peaceful, the more effective. Wear the Armband, share its story, but being a good student comes first.

Continous Effort.

Wearing the armband every day possible is one of the most important needs of this movement. Only through a show of continuous solidarity can administrators' heads begin to turn towards our goal. Even if the armband is unfashionable with your outfit, or you don't like how it feels, try to think of it as being part of something bigger than yourself; you are a part of history.

Circulate.

Once enough students wear the armband, more will be handed out to those who want to help the cause. We hope to provide each armband wearer with 2 extras at some point to hand out to prospective members of the organization. If you happen to be one who receives extra, please remember not to disturb learning environments or school rules by passing out the band. Find the right time.
